John Looney for Montana ("the Committee," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information in connection with our text messaging program.
Information we collect — Mobile telephone numbers, obtained from the publicly available Montana Secretary of State voter file and from individuals who voluntarily provide their number to campaign volunteers at their doors or at campaign events; and the content of messages you send to us.
How we use it — To send political outreach messages, including voter-identification questions, voting and election reminders, event invitations, and volunteer coordination. Messages are individually initiated and sent by campaign volunteers.
No sale or sharing of mobile information — We do not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers, text-message opt-in data, or any information you provide through our text program with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. This information is used solely for the Committee's own political communications.
Message frequency and rates — Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Your choices — Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us below.
Data security and retention — We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold and retain it only as long as needed for campaign purposes and as required by Montana campaign-finance recordkeeping.
